I’m fighting for my life as it is right now. This is making me wonder if I should bother. We are fucked and I don’t see anything getting better.

Yeeeeah. Like, usually I don’t go above eye-rolling and ignoring whenever Marvel does a crappy event or something tone-deaf because I have so much real life stuff that sucks up all my outrage energy, but... this whole Nazi Cap thing has spent so much time being miles over the wrong end of the “really tasteless” boundary that I’m getting pretty weary of it all.
We really needed right now Captain America showing that real Americans oppose the Nazis, not being one of the Nazis. :/
Literally the only good thing I can see out of Secret Empire is that somebody apparently decided to use one of the Brave New World issues as a reason to write a Starbrand story. It had better be a very good Starbrand story or I shall be even more cranky.
With new series... basically Inhumans and Al Ewing (which of course overlap at the moment) are about the only things that really excite me. I won’t lie that I’m not looking forward to Ewing writing more Maximus.
I guess I could fall back to a “whenever I feel like it” schedule, accepting that I no longer have enough stuff to fill a daily schedule. Or enough time and energy, for that matter. Real life has been frustrating and depressing for me; I’ve barely even been reading comics nowadays TBH, let alone posting about them. Or keeping up with my Tumblr dashboard.
