To say “He goes to the library on Saturdays” would it be Il va à la bibliothèque le samedi or les samedis? For some reason I remember if it’s every Saturday, it’s the singular le, but I don’t know why.

You can either say “le samedi” or “tous les samedis”! :) but “les samedis” by itself doesn’t work.

When talking about something that takes place every week (like in your example), you use le + the day of the week. If you’re talking about something taking place on a specific day (like he goes to the library this Saturday, as opposed to every Saturday), then you omit the article. Of course, adding “tous les” or “chaque” is possible and it’s like saying “every” in English. I hope this helps! :))
