Hipster Queen

She is our Queen. Her hair, done up in a bun, Is glorious. Her glasses are large rimmed and non prescription. Even WE don't know The voices singing in her ears. She is our Queen.

The large sweater she wears, Is from a thrift store she lives 5 mins from. The elbow patches We're sewn on by non other than herself. The rings on her fingers are stolen From her grandmother's jewelry box She is our Queen.

She has seen all of Wes Anderson's films in small independently owned movie theaters. She is our Queen.

She is an art major and smokes cigarettes outside the building between classes. She is our Queen.

We bow down and kiss her vintage doc martins in hopes she will grace us with a glance of gratitude. She is our Queen And we serve her.

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the best boyfriend anyone could ask for. He's been there for me every step of the way since I got sick. He could have easily left my side, like others did, but he stuck by me even when I wasn't his girlfriend. That means more to me than any of you could probably know. I love him so very much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Happy Birthday Alex. I love you.
