bp_audi0: Got home from a lovely week in Aviemore with Gem and the kids to find this amazing gift waiting for me. 120 shows seems crazy to think that. Huge thanks to @louist91 and @seven7management for the gift. 🙏🏼

Me, when the monitors start feeding back after 3 hours: Thats it! All y'all lose your 800 Hz privileges!
literally my favorite place in the world, in the hot seat at any venue in the country

Spent the weekend of July 8th and 9th working as an A2 at the levitate music festival in Marshfield Massachusetts. We had three stages of music with luke Ziggy Marley, Umphreys Mcgee, Dispatch, Deer Tick, Ripe, Trevor Hall, Lake Street Dive and so many more. We were running an Avid SC48 and an Avid Profile at my stage. Most of the headlining artists were carrying their own monitor and front of house consoles as well as microphones. Theres something really fun about the rush you get from having to trouble shoot and changeover bands very fast. It was a great weekend and I cant wait to be back next year!
Monitor Mixing
Okay this ones for all my monitor engineer girlies out there. Drop your ego when you're mixing. Listen to what the artist says and adjust to their liking. You can have a mega dull vocal to your ear but if the artist says its harsh you fix that shit because the mix isn't for you. I've seen so many engineers vocally disagree with an artist about how something sounds and every time I'm just thinking 'They're not sharing ears with you, listen to them and fix it!' because our job is literally to mix to their liking.
Ran monitors last night for Sam Grow & his band https://www.instagram.com/p/BqAG0SyloxX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=tzjdyev8v6n6
