“It’s a privilege to love you.”
Summary: Partner privileges with Kihyun.
CW: None, just fluff
A/N: KIHYUN ANON THIS IS FOR YOU BABY‼️‼️
“Where’d my clothes go?” (Stealing clothes)
“Honey.”
“Yes?”
“Where’s my grey hoodie?” He questions you as you walk out of your shared bedroom, wearing said hoodie. You freeze sheepishly under his befuddled gaze.
“You’re wearing it.”
“…Yes.”
For a moment, he debates asking you to give it back, until he sees how it drapes around your form; cuffed sleeves with extra space circling around your wrist and ribbing that reaches just below your thighs. The fabric is loose everywhere and weighted down only by gravity instead of a frame. It doesn’t fit like you, it fits like him; so, he decides against it.
“I’ll just find another one.”
“Have you eaten today?” (Cooking for you)
The fused smell of spices and vegetables swirls around the house as your head rests on the kitchen counter.
“You didn’t have to cook, y'know. You’re also sick.”
“Don’t worry.” He says sliding the cubed-cut radish into the pot with a barely heard ‘plop’.
You should never make a sick man cook for you.
A sniffle escapes as you cross your arms, laying your chin onto the crumpled fabric covering them.
“Alright.”
Unless he insists on it.
You watch as his back tenses beneath his hoodie and faint sniffles leave him as his thin butcher’s knife chop-chop-chops against the wooden cutting board; the spicy, sour smell of kimchi mingles with savory, poultry broth making everything feel warm around you both; rustling of tofu packaging, fresh radish, ginger, and onion remind you of when you and Kihyun first moved in. It reminds you of home.
“It smells good.”
“Thank you.”
“Would you peel an orange for me?” (Being helpful)
The smell of citrus lingers on his skin as a pale orange color stains beneath his nails. His fair hands become tacky from forgotten, leaked juices as they, along with the scent, seem to overtake the practice room. A low sigh leaves his lips.
“Seriously, this is…”
“What are you doing?” Changkyun asks, ambling over with a fiddle of his Rolex.
Kihyun looks up slowly with a muted, “Peeling an orange.”
“Why?” He pesters with black cat curiosity.
Kihyun lets out another sigh, mumbling, “They asked me to.” As his eyes concentrate on the small, scattered peels around the tangerine. No other words are said as Changkyun gives him a low-toned hum in acknowledgment.
Kihyun passes a hum to him as well, continuing at his task.
“Let me pay.” (Never paying)
“How much was it-“
Before those words can leave your lips, Kihyun slides his card onto the check with a silent nod to the waitress. As they leave, you slowly lay your bag down on your lap, giving Kihyun a familiar pout.
“Kihyun.”
“Yes?” He casually responds as he sips from his emptied glass.
“I was supposed to pay this time!” You fuss as you half-heartedly stretch across the table.
“Oh, really?” He remarks, sipping his drink in tune to his feigned ignorance.
“Yes, really!” You squeal, earning a few glowers from those around you; Kihyun snickers out a playful, “Oh, I’m sorry.” as you deflate into your seat. A sweet smirk paints his lips as the waitress hands back him the check.
“Don’t worry, Honey.” He coos as he catches your arms folding onto themselves.
“I’ll let you pay next time.”
The same song and dance.
“Let’s watch this together.” (Liking…your interests)
“This show is bad.”
“Why do you keep watching it then?”
“I watch it because you like it.”
The pink glow of the TV overshadows you and Kihyun, leaving only an inky shadow stained in the image of your melded bodies on the couch.
“You hate everything we watch.”
You whined as you nuzzled into his knitted hoodie; you had made it over the summer with lots of love and little expertise, leading it to be tight in the wrong places and easily frayed. Kihyun didn’t mind, however; he could endure anything.
“No, I just think the shows you pick aren’t good.” He light-heartedly lisps out as his arm curls you closer to him, his eyes never once leaving the scene. A sulky huff leaves your lips, “Whatever.”
A loose, conceited smile spreads across his face as he heaves a breathless laugh.
“You are so easy to te-“
“Are you fucking serious?!”
His teasing is long forgotten as the show comes back into focus; Kihyun’s rounded eyes widen as his mouth groans out, “Seriously?”
“They cannot be serious. We’re watching the next episode.” You say disconnecting yourself from Kihyun to swiftly grab the remote. He slowly shakes his head, murmuring to himself, “There’s no way..”
He’s already invested.
