Your argument for Up is valid. Still, it feels like it is nine million years long and I def don’t remember 75% of the movie. Maybe it’s like Lilo and Stitch where I see the emotion and merits of the movie but it’s still like eh for me.
yeah i feel that/there’s a ton of walking around/muntz stuff that blends together for me too...
see, i think lilo and stitch is a masterpiece and would actually make an argument is is one of the best wdas films ever. (this is why the statement “frozen is the best disney film since lion king” makes me so angry, LION KING ISNT EVEN THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE SINCE LION KING) it’s like, i didnt even love lilo and stitch that much as a kid - and while i consider it a favorite it’s not like a top favorite - but it’s just SO ORIGINAL and new and emotional, ahhh
dont get me started on how overrated lion king is though or i will get lynched
monsterlines replied to your post:just saw inside out! absolutely incredible....
Ratatouille is my fav and Up was eh for me so you basis for comparison is all over the map on my scale. #sowhatisthetruth
ratatouille is also my fave and pretty damn close to perfect, while up is far more flawed, but like, the good scenes are SO FUCKING GOOD and like, we gotta give it credit where its due, the married life prologue will be remembered as some of the best visual storytelling in film and it completely deserves it
also the final shot makes me cry like a baby every god damn time and when you can make a shot that is literally only a house on a cliff that emotional you’ve done something right
but yeah the film isn’t nearly as good as ratatouille in an overall sense

That is definitely some strange magic right there, eh matey?
