Ellie Goulding played Terminal 5 on January 22nd.

And I was there.

With my mom and my good friend (whose url is monstersatemysanity) and his mom.

AND IT WAS AMAZING.

So...we took the train in. Cos we both live in a suburb of NYC. which is amazing in its own right but i digress. On the train, we caught up and stuff as we haven't exactly seen each other much over the last 3 years or so. So we chatted til we get to the theater from Grand Central and it's bitter fucking cold outside. like im talking 12 degrees. we stand there freezing our asses off and eating soft pretzels and whatnot from the vendor dude. then the doors open. THE DOORS OPEN AND WE GO BE IN THE SAME PLACE AS WHERE ELLIE FUCKING GOULDING WILL SOON BE. Our moms are somewhere near the back of the venue while we're in what turns into the practical 5th row. Damn close. It's cool. The opening act, St. Lucia, went on at 8. They were good. you should check them out if you haven't already heard of them. They clear the stage and then at 9, Ellie comes on in her beanie, a yellow tee shirt, and black leather short shorts. it was hot. When she's singing, i'm just standing there gaping and dying and taking the occasional picture (i'll post some) and Alec (the dudefriendperson) is standing there gaping and dying and taking the occasional picture and dancing his little heart out and it's so so perf. I don't quite recall her setlist but it was completely perfectly perfect in almost every way.

But for the encore...

she was wearing a bikini-esque outfit for the encore. AND THOSE HIPS OH MY GOODNESS.
