Here at the AH Club, we are thinking of sharing a bit more of our favorite French roads we have experienced in the past years. Because beside drinking red wine and eating frogs legs, driving is our favorite weekend activity. So let’s begin with this one we did 3 days ago: the D36. Starting from Mont Dore, here is the really fun part between Compains and Ardes. It goes on a quite fast road through a pine forest and then, superb hilly landscapes looking like Mongolia steppes. Then going alongside a river in the Gorges de Rentières, this is the most fun part of the D36, particularly under a heavy rain 🤌🏻💦 Then, the village of Ardes is another good starting point for new super fun roads around, mostly thinking of those in the Livradois-Forez park.
