hello my perfect meteorites and sweet jellybeans and sparkly dewdrops. thanks for your patience with me!
my hope was to be wrapped up with my relocation by the end of this month, and be back on a chill posting schedule by the beginning of june.
however. best intentions and all that.
as we were starting our final push about a week and a half ago, i happened to get uhhhh bit in the face by a dog. (that’s a very dramatic description of what was essentially just some teeth scratches and a couple small nicks on my cheek; antibiotic ointment has me completely healed up already!). however, it did break the skin and since we didn’t know the dog, i have had to get the rabies vaccine, which is four shots long (plus an additional initial injection of globulin) and can only be administered at the emergency room. sooooo i have been spending a lot of time there instead. obviously the medical stuff has interfered with my ability to relocate properly (it’s been a time-suck and has tired me out). on the other hand, now i know so much about the rabies vaccine, and i feel like it’s been good writer’s research!
plus, in one more week i’ll be fully vaccinated and thus a little safer to pet raccoons ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ (that’s a joke. i’d still have to get a booster — which i think is another two shots — if i got bit again.)
aaanyway, at the same time, my laptop has decided to very abruptly stop working. i can write on my phone but it’s hard to edit and post to ao3, so until i can get a new one, i’ll probably only be catching up on my asks.
speaking of asks… i am still sitting on one or two older asks (because i want to write something a little lengthier) but otherwise i am finally caught up to may! …just in time for june! (⸝⸝⸝-﹏-⸝⸝⸝)
anywayyy, i keep tapping away at rack & ruin, birdie, cicatrix, twyn, and an unnamed oneshot for @coffinwhiteheart … then I’ll move on to love is blind: andromeda. i deeply miss having the mental space to just sink myself into a story and write wothout distraction, though. i hope some day I’m able to get that back!
all of which is to say that i hope to be all caught up soon (lol i’ve always been a dreamer). i am already thinking about kinktober this year and how my only goal for it is to finally finish MYTH from last year lol.
all this to say, again, thank you for your patience. life is wild and i continue to be so grateful for this fandom and this community ♡♡♡

Ozara is the next ToA Route slated. I have not started working on her and probably won't for a bit.
I've been doing some work on Horizon in my free time for fun but after this week (mini vacay for my birthday woo woo) my focus will be shifted to Superstition to put a large enough dent in the rewrite. I literally said I probably wouldn't work on them this month but hey, brain does what the brain does. I'll try to do some public prompts and what not cos I know I don't really give free shit out like that. So, hopefully I can find some nice prompts and proper inspo for that.

NOTE: i'm really trying to take it easy this month and next - to slow down a bit. i LOVE writing, but real-life stuff is making it hard to spend the time i would like to on it — which means that i've been posting things more quickly than i actually am actually comfortable and happy with. so this is a pretty limited schedule for the month, and — after years of relative consistency — i still may fall behind on it (it is truly "aspirations" for the month and, like an actual weather forecast, may be off by quite a bit lol). as such, i'll hopefully have kinktober pieces done by the end of november, and i'll be extending the comfort collection to span all of the (northern hemisphere) autumn/winter months rather than just november (so you can maybe look forward to cozy fics throughout the whole season??). borealis will also be limited this year, i think. i had big dreams but, alas.
the first week of november will be spent trying to catch up on asks, and if i decide to post more, i will update this calendar and rb.
