Bard Joseph and monk Caesar for @dailycj 's #monthlycj fantasy prompt!

h’okay the detail just about killed me but they’re done!

a botw crossover/au for @dailycj‘s monthly event :)c 

I wish I could’ve drawn more but I’ve been so busy with getting ready for my next stage check  ε-(´⌓｀; ) so there’s more about ‘em written under the cut

Alright, so Link, Zelda and Ganon are still all their original selves, which means Caesar and Joseph can take a break from saving the world and from the player’s POV, they’d be NPCs

Caesar’s from Hateno Village and Joseph’s from Lurelin

They spend most of their time exploring Hyrule and selling the treasures they find

As not-Links, they only have 4 hearts and 1 stamina wheel each, but they manage

Caesar prefers long-range weapons like the spears and rods, while Joseph likes the swords and claymores. They both use the Soldier’s Shield for protection

They also each have a horse: Caesar, a blue and black-maned one; Joseph, a black and white-maned one

Being from Lurelin, Joseph really likes palm fruit and the various crabs and fish, while Caesar prefers meats and mushrooms

They both love hyrdomelons and frequently travel to Gerudo Desert to get restock

Red and blue bokoblins are easy enough to defeat, but anything stronger requires a concentrated effort or running away

Joseph has one of Dinraal’s claws and refuses to sell it

Instead of the Sheikah Slate, they use a paper map covered with suspected and visited treasure spots, as well as red Xs to mark lynels and hinoxes

Central Hyrule, the Thyphlo Ruins and Eventide Island are all off-limits for being too scary 

They see the effects of Link’s progress, but rarely see the hero himself

Sleeping at a stable or in a settlement is preferred, but if night falls before they can get to one, they set up camp and take turns keeping watch

On days when the full moon is set to rise at night, they don’t travel for fear of the blood moon

Joseph catches beetles whenever he can to sell to Beedle for food, much to Caesar’s chagrin

They are both surprised and confused at the seemingly overnight appearance of Tarrey Town

I’d like to think they get to see Hyrule restored to some of it’s former glory, but who knows

Anyways, I’d like to do more of this some point maybe some comics or something idk, but this’ll have to do for now (´・ω・｀)
