Four years.
As I said last year, I don’t really have any creative hobby. So this year I ran again. Last year I ran 30 km (18.6 miles) for the first time in my life, this year I wanted to do something little bit different. So I ran for two hours on an athletic track, the same 330 metres again and again. With nothing but my thoughts to keep me company. And I realized two things.
I’m not exactly hardworking person. I’m not ambitious, I don’t have a big dream that I’m working towards to. But there is a part of me that can get up and occasionally do awesome things. And maybe that’s why Monty resonates with me so much even though I wasn’t exactly a hardcore fan. He will always be with me, with that one part of me that can get up and run 30 km.
I also realized why I love long distance running so much. Because it’s simple. It’s not always easy, but it’s simple. Pure. You just... don’t stop moving your legs. You just keep running.
You just keep moving forward.
its already been 2 years....thank you Monty for everything you’ve done for me. You and your legacy, the amazing animations you brought into this world has changed my life.
RIP Monty Oum
Finally had time to start colours on this project 💜🖌✨ #artbyisa #montyoumproject
Have some old pics of my Blake cosplay. Today came up pretty suddenly. It's been two years since his death, and two years since I started watching RWBY. A peaceful snow day that started a love of something and led to such great things happening--meeting people, making memories, you get the idea. And, of course, creation. I might complain about RWBY sometimes, but I only take the time to voice those thoughts because of how dear it is to me. Rest in peace, Monty.
A short story I have been thinking about writing for over a year. I could not think of a better day to finally start it. Right now it is just a draft of a draft (and I’m only to about a page right now), but I hope it will become something so much more.
As for something new, I have designed this character for my Computer Applications in Art class for our first project. Her character design has turned out a lot better than I thought and now I might use her in one of my own original projects. I've taken a bit of inspiration from RWBY, Bee and Puppycat, Invader Zim, Panty and Stocking, and a bit of Mega Man as sources of inspiration for what I have planned. More details on that later.
Today is not the brightest day. Two years ago on February 1st 2015 we lost a very amazing man. We knew him as Monty Oum. He's known for #DeadFantasy #redvsblue and #rwby. His work at #roosterteeth was amazing and inspired many. One of this many was me. Everyday I keep Monty in my heart and try my best to be like him. A great animator, a wonderful fun person and to make something to last forever. Today just like last year, and the year before I am bawling my eyes out. When I'm in a struggle I remind myself to KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Something Monty said. It helps me through what I find tough and hopefully it'll get me far. Today I will create as much as I can on the Name of Monty Oum. To remember him. To let his name live on, not just in rwby but in me. The #montyoumproject is a wonderful thing and I advise you all to go out and create. To my fellow mourners. May we never forget and may we create something that will live forever. And Monty. We love you. #ripmontyoum #keepmovingforward #montyoum
