In this awful and gruesome times, we are trying to find a glimpse of hope and pleasant things. We believe there is must be some comfort hidden between bad news and wretched scenes. We are all looking for something that brings back our busy routines and bustles.
But I discovered something simple yet surprising as I sit between my atypical familiar four walls.
Time.
We always said “we don’t have enough time” so often, while time is so lengthy. We are just so occupied with our work, and working so damn hard for it, or wasting so much time on traffic between home and a destination. Or we just simply dawdle on unnecessary things.
And now, there is no more stuck on traffic as we stay at home though we still have works to do on the table. But now, we have so much time than before. It is kinda surprising for some people that they have actually time to do everything. But now, we have endless time and about, or even already, facing boredom.
But, some people is finally getting their leisure time they deserve. These people had been putting their energy on things that not for their’s sake. And now they finally have enough time to put their energy for themselves.
Some people get chance to spend wonderful time with their family after their time has been stolen before. Or maybe they finally can make time for themselves, healing or making peace with their soul.
We start to listen our conscience and body that sometimes we need a break. We start to learn about ourselves, about what we need or what we want. Just like what I do.
I have enough sleep now since I wake up later than usual.
I can exercise on my flexibility by doing yoga and stretching before starting the day.
On my break time, I do chores or have nap instead of going online or playing online games.
Playing with my siblings if I need some setbacks from works.
More time to think then write.
Bye bye traffic, hello untouched books.
Or bye bye traffic, hello online courses.
Time without noises, it is what we are grateful for in this bleak times.
