I need to draw something more creative—
One of my favorite things about writing Moon is that he's dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb, idiot. Can't add one plus one.
The part where the hurt comes in is when he gets to be SMART
I cried 🥲

I'm gonna drop something that if it finds the right person, might make cry or something
“I’m sorry.”
That’s all he could say. But it wasn’t enough. He knew it wasn’t enough. He knew HE wasn’t enough. Not like this.
“It’s okay.” Sun’s voice was so quiet. So unlike him. It lacks the warmth he used to be known for.
“It isn’t.” Moon’s grief made way for agitation. He didn’t used to be like this. When did his temper get so short? Why does Sun keep excusing his behavior? Why isn’t he angry too? Why does Sun keep forgiving him?
“It is, Moony. It’s okay. We can still-
“We CAN’T fix it!” Moon’s shouting and they’ve barely begun the conversation. Sun flinched back, obviously terrified that he will be broken the same way the staff bot now is. That’s the third one this week. Management will probably stop sending them to the daycare to help with cleaning. Sun can handle extra cleaning. But he doesn’t know how much longer he can handle Moon. Not when he’s like this.
“Please, Moony...” Sun’s rays retracted partially. There’s a tremor in his voice that syncs up with the shake of Moon’s balled fists.
“We can’t fix it,” Moon repeated, quieter this time. And Sun knew that in that moment he wasn’t just talking about the staff bot anymore. He’s talking about himself. Moon thinks he is beyond fixing. There is something so deeply wrong with him. Why is he so angry? Why is Sun so scared?
“...Maybe...” Sun fidgeted with his hands, “maybe we don’t have to fix it.” He looked at Moon helplessly. He wanted so badly to take away all of the pain and rage Moon was feeling.
“Then what do we do with it?” Moon hugged himself. Suddenly, meeting Sun’s gaze seemed more challenging than before.
“Well... Maybe we can just... sit with it. For now. And when we’re ready, we’ll clean up and try to keep going. Okay?” Sun smiled at Moon hopefully. Moon sighed softly. He glanced at the shattered staff bot on the floor. Arms torn clean off. Casing ripped open to reveal the wires underneath.
“Okay.” Moon nodded softly.
