Yeah so not only am I cancelling Nitro for next month but I'm probably gonna abandon the platform entirely.

Which really fucking sucks because 1) I've been on Discord for 10 (10!!!) years and 2) this is one of the few things that keeps me connected to others and keeps me having a robust social life.

Even if I find an alternative, the current state of the Internet and legislation finds me feeling like they'll all just do this shit eventually.

Time to abandon the Internet--a notion that feels very much like leaving the only home I've ever known.

I don't know if I'm prepared to do that, but I'm going to prepare to leave Discord at the very least.

Cancel your Nitro, find alternatives, and ultimately leave the platform. They say in the article that they're prepared for a hit there, but we need to hit them harder than they expected. Mass exodus. Cripple their fucking shares, and vow never to return unless they roll this shit back.

Paid dlc for a 70 dollar game that isnt even out yet Is fucking absurd I'm so tired of defending the Pokémon company. Say what you want about palworld being uninspired slop but that's only 30 dollars and the dlcs are free. Pokémon is the most profitable franchise in the entire goddamn planet there's no fucking reason to scalp the everloving shit out of players like this. Its not even about the devs at this point because the devs aren't seeing any of this money its all the damn leadership.

Pokémon is out pricing the majority of people and let alone kids.

The games are to expensive. The cards are being scalped. The toys suck. The plushies cost less being hand made on esty.

And again no one even knows how ZA is gonna perform. This could be entirely non functional on switch yet.

I'm tired of buying this. Even if I wanted to I can't afford it. 100 dollars for a complete game is fucking insane. I'm not asking for a 20 dollar price tag like silk song. But dividing up your own game to sell it back to you in pieces is some real team rocket shit.
