blaire was almost always loyal. almost. even when things were heading south, she remained by the side of her lover. blaire had never cheated on anyone before. she was naturally flirty, but never crossed the line. in the end, she always came home untouched by another. at least, until she met sadie. things were on and off between them, flames always running to one another, then scurrying away when things got too hot.
she had been seeing a nice man recently. he made her dinner almost every night, drew her baths, and never allowed her wine rack to be vacant for more than a day. he was a sweetheart, but he didn’t make her heart tremble like sadie did. blaire often thought about sadie when she was under him, pretending it was her. long blonde hair stroking against her bare skin. sweet lips kissing down her body, lingering. blaire dreamed of kissing sadie again. kissing the other woman was like kissing spring itself. a feeling of the purest, most sweetest warmth would overcome blaire, she swore she could smell honeysuckle when they embraced.
sadie looked exceptionally beautiful under the neon lights of the gas station. of course, this wasn’t blaire’s primary choice to meet her, but it was all they had. this tiny gas station in the middle of nowhere. anywhere too public and someone would see and word would get back to her boyfriend. the last thing blaire wanted to do was break anyone’s heart, but sadie was like the sweetest candy out there that blaire just couldn’t resist.
“hey,” blaire said, happiness evident in her tone, when sadie entered her car. a fresh coffee was in the cupholder, with sadie’s name written elegantly on it in red marker. “the drive wasn’t too bad?” she asked. it was an hour long drive to the gas station. “we can get something to eat if you’re hungry.”
