A couple new modular latte mugs fresh from the kiln. Experiments with surface using strips of multicolored porcelain bits I call "rocks". Sort of like grog but bone dry as opposed to bisque fired. Left one has been inlayed and aged with @amacobrent velour black underglaze, and the right was left clean. This drippy boi came out perfect!🤖 The surface is exactly what I'm shooting for. Good amount of bleed, but not pure obscurity of my carvings. Believe it or not to get this blue green to white fade right i have to use 4 glazes and 2 inlay materials layered precisely to encourage flow and then trap it by the time it reaches the foot. I am really happy with how this larger modular mug came out. I pulled this from the kiln at @odysseyclayworks yesterday and I've been staring at it since haha. It's fun to play around with the scale on these forms by adding and subtracting mold parts. Lots of surface opportunity to play with.
