The Rose Ruby
(Moonlight Thief!Reader x Riddle)
Summary: Riddle have been assigned to guard a gemstone from another country to prevent you from stealing it but he didn't guessed you were after him instead. a tyrannical rose ruby is what you eye, what a great find.
Note: Reader might sound ooc but that's just because of the dialogue i wrote i hope you don't mind it ehehe
Riddle was anxious
the Moonlight Thief hasn't been catched ever since their first steal, being famous for their tricks and schemes they started to rise up with their fame yet they only leave notes and only have few photographs doing the stealing in action or escaping the minute the moment authorities arrived
you were truly mischievous
but this time, he will catch you he damn sure will
he didn't just became a police captain for the top position and following his mother's footsteps, he had became a police captain so he could catch you and make his mother even more prouder of him than now
truly, catching you became his top priority the moment he had achieved the position of police captain
you have managed to run around the hedges of his rose maze, like a sneaky little mouse, but he'll stop it now.
a expensive red beryl gemstone have been transported to the Seven Sage's City, it was to be delivered into another country and only staying at this city for temporary check-in
Riddle was assigned into the important task of guarding it, including the whole Heartslabyul troupe and leading them to catch you tonight.
it was theorized that the rare stone is going to be in your hands as soon as it arrived, of course news would get around since nothing expensive get past you lest a important imported stone from another country, if anything everyone knows you would likely to steal it
but he won't let that happen, tonight he would catch you once and for all, ending ll your mischiefs and crimes. he had called for backup incase the portion of guard would be too small and easy to escape for you
applying tons of rules to his troupe members, strictly lecturing them whole and perfectly shaping them to follow his laws. he had heard them slander him calling him awful and a tyrant but he didn't care it was all to catch you
he also added multiple security cameras, laser beams that automatically blares when somebody who doesn't have a police badge pass through, and the captain police himself guarding the precious stone inside alone .
don't you see Moonlight Thief? he was doing everything he can to catch you so why not just be kind and give yourself up to him
he would love to see you inside of an interrogation room, answering the questions of your true intentions of why you would steal important or expensive materials from rich people
you didn't have a pattern in your purloins, you ought to get whatever catches your eye even if it only sparkled a bit. everyone would be scared to brag about the expensive jewelries or accessories they own as long as your alias would be brought up to the room
they would want to protect it as if it's important more than their own lives, terrified of you taking the dearest item away from their money-greedy hands, why would that be? what was your real ambition? what is the real charm you hold to keep the greed and evil itself afraid of you?
he wishes to find out.

in disguise of a police officer, you enter the room without problems and approached the young red haired man guarding the stone alone, smiling to yourself as you ask if this is where the gemstone is kept as he looked at you suspiciously
"go back to your position rookie." as the police captain he is, he glared at you with full distaste, clearly you were being disrespectful to your senior and leaving your assgined position didn't make it better, rule 345 said that "no rookie are supposed to leave on their on own unless they are ordered to", you need a scolding about following the rules in Heartslabyul when he is done with his current mission on catching the moonlight thi-
"Hmm sure, but can i ask you a question question?"
"Make it quick" Riddle replied stubbornly so
"have you heard about the Rose Ruby of the Queen of Hearts? he kind of caught my eye on my way here." you clasp your hands in glee hoping that he would know the answer
"Rose Ruby of the Queen of Hearts...?" Queen of Hearts? where have he heard that nickname before?
"son of a highest ranking chief officer of seven sages city." you were addressing his mother but your voice sounded dangerous making him alert.
"I'm talking about you, The smartest and tyrannical leader of the Heartslabyul Troupe Squad, The Rose Ruby, Riddle Rosehearts."
"wha-" before he could even say anything, you swiftly move towards him, carried him and crashes the glass of a window nearby as you jump off with Riddle on your arms
the sound of shattering glass alerted the guards outside of the building, looking at your way. the sight of the shattered fragments of the window glass and the Moonlight Thief carrying the red haired police captain while shining against the moonlight was fascinating and would be thought as romantic if the situation isn't considered as a kidnapping and a robbery crime
"HEY! CATCH THEM, THE MOONLIGHT THIEF PROBABLY HAS THE STUPID STONE!" one of the man shouted loud enough for you to hear, as you land they were running after you and firing shots whilst the others rushed to check your previous location.
after running around for a bit, successfully avoiding the bullets of firing guns behind you, and bearing the flailing Riddle on your arms repeating the words "let go of me!!" you have finally lost the men running on your tracks
after catching a few breaths, Riddle was still squirming on your hold, it annoyed you a little bit but carrying him like this is a fun way of teasing him
you lean down with still
"shh, look" you whisper to Riddle as you lean down on the bushes with him still in your arms, you both saw the black cars driving away from the lot fast that smoke and tire scratches on the ground appeared so visibly
"heh stupid idiots, that's not even the real thing" you mumble while grinnin with a stupid smug, Riddle's head lowered and his hand shifted near his waist
he took out to his gun and successfully pointed it to your chin in a threatening way
"put me down, back off, and put your hands in the air Moonlight Thief." His grey eyes and reddened face are filled with flaming rage you thought the moment he put his finger on the trigger he would shoot you with no hesitation
you sigh as you put him down and backed off a bit raising both of your hands in the air, his gun was still pointing at you so are his angry eyes.
a few moments of silence you decided to speak
"the backup you called are not backups, they were poachers like me who's after the stone" you said stretching your arms, Riddle was small and easy to carry but it still kinda strained you
"and they took the fake one and left." you smirked about those idiots who didn't even check close if the thing is real or not, it just really says how inexperienced the crooks nowadays
"no worries though, your whole troupe is safe on another building, they lead them there so they wouldn't have to deal with a lot of heartslabyul guys, their actual plan is to just take you out alone" Riddle shooked, he didn't even notice it, he was too focused on tactics on catching you he didn't become careful of his actions leading him to an dangerous situation
he clicked his tounge and sweat, seeing how panicked he is you felt a little pity for him, you move your hand down to your pockets as if reaching for something
"keep those hands up where i can see them or else you'll get it" you hesitate and looked at him raising your eyebrow, nevertheless you didn't let his threat stop you continued searching your pocket
by moving like that to Riddle you have already accepted your sentence and he pulled the trigger but instead of a bang it was just a click, no bullets were released or gunpowder to fire the bullets out
he was confused and repeatedly tried to pull the trigger again and again at you
"oh, were you looking for this?" his eye wide opened as your hand revealed several bullets of his gun
"can't have you shooting me so I'll take it okay?" you grasped it closed and put it back to your other pocket leaving Riddle's face still in shock
just when did you even had time to do that? your skills at stealing is impeccable he himself can't even believe it
your hand bump into something hard inside of your pocket and you brightened up
you take it out and throw it to Riddle who tried to catched it while trying not to stumble on the ground by doing so
the Red Beryl
the stone you were supposed to take
his bait on catching you and putting you on that prison cell
"why are you giving it back? didn't you want this?" Riddle gave you a look of confusion and uncertainty
"well, like i said i am not here for the red beryl" you said as you try to step closer to Riddle who tried to back away as you have stepped closer
"i was after the reddest rose ruby of the Queen of Hearts" you smile softly at him
"and I've completely stolen him haven't i?" he felt heat rush to his face revealing a red blush on his face as you said those words
are you really flirting at him at this type of moment!?
you chuckle as you torment the man in flustering, he clearly doesn't really know how to respond to your words
"I'm taking your bullets though, i don't want you shooting me if i return it after all and plus" you turn your back to him jumping on the highest prefecture you can reach
"even the tiniest fragment of the ruby is just as important as the ruby itself. I'll remember you with this--" you jump away from the scene leaving the young man stunned at your figure glossening at the moon
"my favorite ruby, Riddle."

moonlight au?
*INHALES* SO, Moonlight au ok, basically everything is the same,, but
-the moon is always out, its always night and the moon is always full
-Six dosnt turn into a monster, the thinman just keeps her locked in the tower and tortures her. Six is half blinded by her own blood when she and Mono try to escape
- We SEE the thinman die. instead of it just being implied
- Thinman does talk a few times
- the tower starts falling apart as soon as Mono sees Six so they just need to run for it
- Six drops Mono because shes 1- too weak to pull him up and 2- shes in way too much pain. she hasnt connected the fact that mono is the thinman.
- Six leaves, and then comes back with a rope and helps Mono up Fuck what the time loop had in store for us, we're making our own story.
- they both get put on the Maw, but they get separated half way through but reunite at the end
- Six does eat the nome, but Mono makes sure that it survives
- Mono kills the lady instead of six, that way no one gets the life absorbing powers
- they leave the maw together
- Thinman kinda just.. comes back as a ghost and posses things into attackin Six and Mono.
