Trick or treat!!! I do love Kore. (a lot,,,,,,)
She knows herself first as an extension of her mother - Demeter is the earth, the turning of the clock, her mother is the most powerful being she knows. Kore is only a portion of that, is only creeping edges of her mother’s power as the Goddess of Spring.
Her mother gets in a fight with Zeus when Kore is still young, as her mother often does, and Kore tires of the long winter Demeter forces on the world.
She pushes spring forward herself that year, defying her mother’s wishes, and it’s then that she learns the taste of power.
