I also think too many people misunderstand what is actually making light of an issue or using a trope that has been used in fiction for thousands of years at this point.
I’ve also seen a lot of bullshit about mad scientist, and medical malpractice stuff saying this is a huge issue and you shouldn’t be using this. It is 100% a huge issue in the real world, it is also a fundamental of THE Science fiction genre.
Any ethics discussion that is not you just kind of exploring something but you having an actual problem is hilarious.
One of the most famous examples of the mad scientist, trope is literally Frankenstein. Although he’s not actually a doctor dropped out and all that fun shit.

Where is this energy when it comes to things that you actually should not watch, use or enjoy because of actual real life problems. Is your engagement ring a diamond?
