I also think too many people misunderstand what is actually making light of an issue or using a trope that has been used in fiction for thousands of years at this point.
I’ve also seen a lot of bullshit about mad scientist, and medical malpractice stuff saying this is a huge issue and you shouldn’t be using this. It is 100% a huge issue in the real world, it is also a fundamental of THE Science fiction genre.
