More Than Expected -- Becky & Imogen
When the last period bell rang, Becky packed up her books into her bag and moved quickly out of the classroom. She had talked with Imogen about hanging out again, and now she would be heading over to Imogen's house. It definitely wasn't something that Becky expected, especially before meeting her in the Drama room just a few days ago. She had been overjoyed to find out that Imogen took a great liking to her, and that trust had been established extremely quickly. So much so, even, that Becky even realized that Imogen could become a real friend: not just a tool to get to Eli.
As she walked quickly down the hallway, Becky was running through their last conversation in their head. As she turned the corner to head towards the main entrance to the school, she remembered the struggles of Imogen dealing with her rape. While Becky had done her best to help Imogen cope, she still wasn't sure exactly what Imogen had done with her advice. Had she talked to Eli? To her Dad? Becky knew that letting them both know what had happened to her was extremely important, yet also extremely sensitive. Hopefully, Imogen would be able to openly talk through it with her, just like the other day.
Becky walked down towards the edge of the hall, passing some of the new hockey players on their way to practice, before finally seeing Imogen, standing at the entrance. Hopefully she hasn't been waiting for long, Becky thought. As she looked ahead, with each step closer, she noticed that Imogen seemed actually happy. While seeming happy wasn't ever new for Imogen, Becky noticed that it seemed to be real happiness, rather than the facade she normally wore. "Imogen!" Becky called, "Hey! How are you doing?"
