I wish I could say I've been working on things and that's why I've been away, but...I haven't.
I was recently taken advantage of and dropped by a band. It's been a lot to take in, so I've taken a hiatus because of it. I knew from the beginning that this would be a possibility...I honestly just didn't think it would happen so soon.
I write my own music, and create my own melodies/harmonies because I love to sing. The producer I was originally working with saw my passion and took advantage of me because of that. Thankfully, I was cautious enough with him to not give too many of my lyrics for free. But still. Several months of my time that I could've used just saving up for better equipment and copyrighting my own work to release...are gone.
It's been difficult enough to just sing for fun because of this experience. But I'm doing my best to not give up. I wrote a song today 😊 Dunno if it'll ever be released. But I consider it a victory.
