To put it simply, Mumei was a weird and borderline horrible mafioso. Any orders they were given were executed in the most awkward fashion possible, making even their supervisors not want to watch. The task got done, but it was done so convolutedly while taken literally that people who didn't work anywhere near them heard tales of the solutions they came up with to simple problems. The most popular story was the time they managed to make turning the air-conditioning on into an Olympic sport. Their superior had asked them to turn on the air conditioner and fan by them, and after being told the room in which it was located, they gave her an odd look and scampered off. Thirty minutes went by without the task getting accomplished. Frustrated, she left the room to do it herself and scold the wayward man just to find that they were nowhere to be found. When she tried to turn it on, there was no reaction. She put in a call for a repairman. Several hours passed, and rattling noises started sounding from the vent in her office. Upon investigating, she found her subordinate finishing up rewiring the entire air conditioning to the light switch in her room. He patiently explained that there was no other outlet "by her" that he could perform the task with and apologized that he could not move the switch directly beside her. She was so shocked that she didn't even scold him. When the repairman came, he said that the wiring was so convoluted that one wrong move without a plan of how the wires went would start a fire. Mumei could not explain how he rearranged everything, just that he did it in a way that would achieve his goals. The air conditioning was connected to the light switch from then on.
