hey yo i just wanna say that I know a lot of people (indians) who wear bindis as part of their daily clothing, (this is the punjab area) and we know what bindis are, and when to wear them (also depends on the type of bindi you are talking about). So if you are an indian, and you wear bindis regularly. it's not bad, bc it just means the culture is bending, and that happens all the time. Sometimes things lose meaning, and this is a part of culture growing. nothing stays the same.
BUT i really want to stress that it is an indian culture, and still not casual enough that anyone can wear it whenever. I also really really want to stress that different types of bindis have different meanings (at least, in my part of india). Bindis are really beautiful, but I do still agree with you, i just think it's important to see that indians are wearing them at home and whatnot, and that's ok bc it is an indian custom. does this make sense? i feel like it doesnt
YES thank you I've been looking for a good way to express it in words and this does it perfectly. Thank you!!!!!
