today as my “practice” I played the Morimur recording of the Chaconne with chorale fragments for my parents. it’s pretty cool and here’s a link about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/69xm/
In Morimur (ECM 4618952) (see playlist below), JS Bach's violin partita in D minor is interspersed with various chorales, which, according to researcher Helga Thoene, are hidden within the famous Ciaccona that concludes the partita.
