oh boy….boy….okay. UM. …gosh. fuckity. i really don’t know what to say that won’t make me sound like a complete broken record or doofbus but seriously…thank you so much. (✿˵•́ ‸ •̀˵) knowing other people think i’m doing a decent enough job at writing him and and an okay job at keeping him in character really makes me feel relieved, haha. i always try to get better at writing steve but i tend to think i’m not doing a good enough job at writing him sometimes too. so!! thank you!! i try my hardest to make him readable and decent enough of interacting with haha.

draco n narcissa's mother son dynamic talk about thAT

                   It could, in all the simplicity of the term, be considered the typical mommy’s boy relationship. Most view Draco as a Daddy’s boy, however,  &&  it would be easy to assume so when considering how much he threatens with telling his father about someone’s misdirections, but that isn’t the case at all. There’s something about the way his mother’s presence can soothe his soul… There isn’t a lot of people he can say he’d do anything for, but his mother is one of them. It isn’t even about a minor chauvinistic ideal that courses through a lot of the pureblood ideology, it’s a son wanting to protect the mother that has given most of her life to him.

                   With his failing securities  &&  haunting memories of the war the only one proven to have offered any solace or relief was his mother. It is from her that his need for touch is developed  &&  inevitably unavoidable when nightmares  &&  things that go bump in the night worry him. Narcissa is single handedly the most important person to Draco, his father is second, it’s why he so readily agreed to killing Dumbledore. To the Malfoys family is the most important aspect of their identity, regardless of transgressions  &&  mistakes. In the end it will always be them, for who else do they have but each other?

                   The same goes for Narcissa. Draco went to Hogwarts not because they believed the curriculum to be unrivaled, Lucius had wanted him to attend Durmstrang, but because that was where he’d be closest. It’s important to Narcissa that if anything were to happen to her boy then she be close by. Not only that, but her loyalties never truly lied with Voldemort, her concern only ever circled around her son. It was so easy for her to lie about Harry’s death, at the point in time her son’s safety was all that mattered… The Malfoys didn’t fight in the final battle, they wanted their boy.

       was it even possible for the time-turner to go so FAR BACK in time? whether it was or it wasn’t, she didn’t know --- though she DID know that this was the farthest the particular, peculiar TIMEPIECE had ever taken her yet. luna was still in hogwarts, definitely, but there was something about the feel of the ATMOSPHERE that made her think this wasn’t such a bright time.   ❛   how strange...     ❜
