Morning Coffee

my mug grazes my bottom lip,

becoming familiar 

with its grooves 

and thirst.

and I think about the times you did the same;

with teeth,

and tongues.

I inhale deeply,

the brews sweet aroma 

invading my senses.

and I think of the times you did the same;

the smell of your aftershave 

I grew to crave,

as I lay pretty kisses on your neck,

under bed sheets 

in October.

the cups porcelain warmth,

heating my hands.

and I think of the times you did the same;

cupping mine 

in yours, as you said 

cold hands,

warm heart.

but in my state of reminiscence

I burn myself.

my tongue,

scalded.

and I think of the times you did the same;

lured me in 

with you appealing appearance

and the warmth I longed for 

on the chilly days of autumn 

your whispers of sweet nothings

were like caffeine to me.

I had to get my fix.

but once I took a sip,

you hurt me.

and that is why you must be careful 

of the boys who remind you of

morning coffee.

as underneath the sugar

and the cream,

they are dark 

and bitter.

Good morning !

Its time to finish Pyrrah and that commission chart today.  Pyrrah was suppose to be done yesterday as I planed but the chart thing is taking more time then I first thought, sorry on my part.

Early morning walk

Small painting for dear friend rainydays_eef 🎨🖌Her story for this piece: “It was early in the morning when I took that photo and I was a bit tired after my workout and as I was walking up the hill to my dorm room I saw the light from the lamps on the top of the hill and found the foggy atmosphere to be very painting worthy. I don’t often take pictures of the world around me but now I’ve started to see places that would make good paintings. The fog definitely made the lights in the distance look picturesque and the silhouette of the trees in the foreground had a nice solid element.” 💜 Thank you for sharing. I was focusing on the distant light than fog itself, but that’s the beauty of it. That the original photo and painting are a bit different and that’s good!
