@mortetm sent: “I can tell when anyone is lying.”
THE circles they are doing around each other are proverbial; java wonders how long it’ll take her to get dizzy --- how long it’ll be before she loses her ups from downs. persistence is key and she seems to have it, seems to have had that (and many other potentially dangerous traits) drilled into her at some point in time. the blond’s head stays high; there’s pride in his stance as he stares --- as he picks his words carefully as though they are resin pieces on a checkered board. it isn’t supposed to be a game, he knows; most people do not appreciate one side of a conversation viewing paths as a means of winning but with their current topic? HE’S GOING TEST HER RESOLVE. at least a little.
“what an amazing skill to have.” he doesn’t even try and hide the fact that he’s teasing, a bit. the board is supposed to be black and white but this time he imagines RED spilling over bright spaces. do others sense that around her? do they know? have humans evolved enough with their little quirks to know when something this close to his kind stands before them? he doubts it, greatly. when it comes to humans he doubts many things. but she? she almost doesn’t fit the description. does that bother her? “can you only tell when they are lying to you or does it also work when the person is lying to THEMSELVES?”
