(case in point. Art by @halfwayoverthere )
Morwen prefers leather and hide armor over chain and metal. It's nothing against craftsmen, it's just easier to move in and hide in.
That said she IS able to wear at least "medium" armor by D&D/Pathfinder categorization, she did train in it.
(Morwen's college and Masters in Conjuration and Transmutation come from Alk'hazar University now, fuck it. Prestigious rich kid school, her class mates Hated Her Ass for being some nobody who was distressingly capable and physically able to snap at least 3/4ths of them like twigs. Also because she's a half elf.
... Normal elves aren't fond of half breeds, and the further from Elf you are the stronger the hate.)
(Morwen makes her tomato sauces from scratch. Her tomato garlic and mushroom chunk sauce is apparently really popular at the market in Glo'Hoal)
(Morwen has a lot of battle scars and incidental damages from her years of training in assorted artisan trades- to say little of training injuries. Couple of owlbears slashes here, wolf and other beast bites there, rough hands from leather, wood, and metal working along with alchemical and arcane burns along her forearms. Her hands are like gripping a baseball mitt from the calluses, but she has a little moisture regiment to try and keep the skin soft enough to still be caring.
Her children, as adults, will be able to tell how her hands were always rough and scratchy, but warm and comforting. Big, strong, and learned. Offered to many as a safe harbor in many storms so to say.)
Lore Drop!
Food is pretty much as synonymous with speech in Oskain. There are some relationships that have been forged entirely by what a person cooks and the people who come and eat it- diners where a bang on the counter is met with fresh coffee and the daily special, for example.
It is very much something that has lead to a culture of hospitality and acceptance. You can tell a lot of a person based on how they cook, what they cook, and how they keep their kitchen.
Morwen was very much raised by the hearth and warm stove, and has recipes only reserved for specific people like her partners or family.
(I just want to stay home and sleep. Am i allowed to do that. Can I just tell my boss today will not work and thus I can't work and my brain needs a day to just recalibrate.)
