I never planned to make dolls, and the moths were an accident—an improbable twist in my journey to becoming a polymer clay artist. It all started while I was crafting a new design for costume jewelry. As I molded the piece, I realized it looked strikingly similar to a moth wing. The thought of moths hadn't crossed my mind before; in fact, I was terrified of them. Despite this fear, I felt an inexplicable urge to create my first doll.
This first attempt resulted in a simple black and white moth, far removed in quality and design from what I create now. The real surprise came when my audience fell in love with these moths, sparking a demand I hadn't anticipated. And so, my journey began, leading me to craft these unique art pieces that continue to captivate and enchant.
Little did I know that my accidental creation would become the heart of my artistic identity, bringing joy and wonder to collectors around the world.
