Omg thank you 💛💛 I don't usually! But I'm staying with my partners family in Norway and so I'm having my very first proper Christmas celebration, it's been a lot of fun :D (and a lot of food heh)
Could I get some advice? How does a Witch properly contact a Deity? I've been wanting to contact Dionysus for awhile now to get help with my Gender Identity, but I want to make sure I do it properly. Are there any specific rituals or things I need to do? Thanks so much!
I’d recommend reading through these posts and resources! The first one is a basic overview of working with/worshiping deities. The second one is the basics of Hellenic Polytheism. The third on is an excellent resource for information on deities and the fourth one is a list of some small devotional acts you might do (or perhaps use it for inspiration!)

Okay! So what I do when reaching out to a deity for the first time is I:
Give appropriate offerings (Theoi.com can help you figure this out), or you can browse the tag #dionysus offerings to get ideas.
Say a prayer and use epithets, honoring said deity (#dionysus prayer) (#dionysus epithet)
Communicate why I’m reaching out to them, what I hope to get out of it, what I have to offer, etc.
Say another prayer and thank them for their time.
Sometimes this will be enough and you’ll get a strong sense as to whether or not it will work, but often it involves doing things repeatedly. Offering/prayer sessions, devotional acts, etc. Look at it kind of like creating a friendship. It involves a lot of little, repeated interactions to build rapport/a connection.
