omg i love the night watch and the book is amazing. most of sarah waters books are tbh and the bbc adaptations were always pretty good too. i just wish they had made the night watch into a miniseries instead of trying to cram it all into one movie
I loved all her books, and after watching The Night Watch I wonder if it’s worth a reread because I agree about the miniseries--they must have left so much out (but I don’t remember what). I also watched Affinity today and I didn’t remember that story at all. Neither is very happy at the end... Tipping the Velvet is still my favorite and I have fond memories of secretly reading it during math class in high school.
this is just me rn

1. What’s your method for calming down anxious nerves?
I remind myself to take a deep breath, or just do my best not to think about whatever it is that's making me nervous and just rush head long into it. It varies...
2. When was the earliest crush you ever had?
Oooo...hmmm...I remember I had a really big crush on Esmerelda when The Hunchback of Notre Dame came out. It's probably between her or this boy that I was in school with.
3. What was the last book you read, and would you recommend it?
The last book I read was Divergent. and yes I would recommend it. I thought it was really good actually. 4. What genre of book do you find yourself reading most?
Generally speaking I find myself reading sci-fi or fantasy. I'm a pretty big geek. 5. A terrorist has remotely taken control of an airplane carrying 30 passengers, some of them children, and intends to crash the plane into a small rural town. The town is remote enough that the damage will not extend to other towns if the terrorist is successful. You have the chance to stop the terrorist (either killing him/her or taking him/her into custody) allowing the plane to crash. Or you could save the plane, keeping it from crashing, but the terrorist would escape. Which would you chose, and why?
I would save the plane, I don't like the thought that the collateral damage would be worth it in the long run. 6. Would you say that you are sexually open to trying new things?
Uh yea? I guess, for the most part I'm willing to trying new things.
7. What was the last thing that made you smile?
Um...I was watching 2 Broke Girls earlier. That show generally always makes me smile and laugh. 8. Do you think you would want children in the future? If you already have them, could you have seen yourself as a parent before you had children?
I like to think that I would want children in the future, but at the same time I can also see myself without them, so I suppose it would depend on what the person I'm with at the time would want, and if I'm in a secure enough time in my life that it would be a good idea. If I'm going to have kids I want to be at a place in my life where I can adequately take care of and provide for them.
9. Cat, dog, lizard, rabbit, or fish?
Oooo...good question. I have a dog so I kind of feel obligated to give that as my answer, but I also like cats because they're independent and take a bit less time.
10. Favorite candy?
Hmmm...generally speaking something sour is good. I love the sour strawberry belts. 11. Could you see yourself falling in love with someone not in alignment with your sexuality? I.E: If you’re heterosexual, could you see yourself falling for someone of the same sex? If you’re homosexual, could you see yourself falling someone of the opposite sex?
Yes I could.
