Sea of Monsters Movie Review
*DISCLAIMER: This post has lots of spoilers*
This is not really much of a movie review but to be completely honest THE MOVIE WAS GREAT but I'm really not sure if I loved it or not. It's complicated.
They changed and added LOTS of stuff but this time it was closer to the book. ;)
I'm really pissed at how they removed good stuff and added ridiculous stuff but you know, novel-based movies are always like that.
HERE ARE A FEW SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED IT
-The fucking mist is not natural. They have to fucking spray it. wtf. -As seen in the trailer, Grover wasn't missing from the very start, unlike in the book. HE WAS KIDNAPPED BY LUKE'S CRONIES INCLUDING CHRIS -Percy did not meet tyson from school then ended up blowing up the school and riding to camp with annabeth. Tyson just showed up in camp. Tantalus was not there either. The bull thing happened in camp, instead of the birds. one gold bull. AND TYSON SAID "BAD BULL" HEHEHE -Percy was supposed to know the full prophecy by the fifth book. HE DID IN THE MOVIE. -"cursed blade shall reap" That was for the last book too -KRONOS ACTUALLY ROSE WTF -Polyphemus lives in a long forgotten amusement park on an island. -the whole Circe thing was not in the movie -.- ((half hoping bc reyna)) -my songs know what you did in the dark played on the first part ((fob feels)) -they got swallowed by charybdis like fck. -Charybdis pls -Clarisse is one hot gal, as seen in the trailer too and hell to the fucking yeah, she's definitely awesome. But in the books, I was expecting her to look like a fat, ugly, red haired bully. And there's this Swiggity swaggety satyr lol. -I LOVED THE FLASHBACK BECAUSE THAT WAS LIKE THE FIRST SCENE. -I also loved that part where the oracle was like telling the story/prophecy. The animation was so fucking awesome. -Oracle of delphi wasn't a prat. She started the conversation like, usually percy gets creeped out that the oracle was like a mummified hippie thing and that when you talk to it, it doesn't even reply or something. -instead of receiving the thermos and medicines from hermes in camp, percy recieved the thermos and packaging tape thing that makes stuff disappear in ups. -GEORGE AND MARTHA OKAY. AMAZEBALLS. -tyson disappeared after they all got the fleece unlike in the book where he sorta sacrificed himself and tried to fix clarisse's ship then ended up exploding. -no sirens, obviously. -THALIA U HOTTIE -"thalia deid 2 save us n dis how u do sht?" "thalia sved us n u go around hengin awt wt 1 o dos cycolpz??" -tyson was not dumb. he's actually pretty smart -kronos looked like hades' form when he first appeared in the first movie. wtf -PERCABETH FEELS OK
Most of them are bad comments, sorry.:( But then again, to be completely honest, it's a fifty-fifty thing. Loved and hated the movie.
For those who haven't watched it yet, well, I don't really know if I should promote in a good way or a bad way.
Just watch it :)
Movie Reviews~ Pitch Perfect
Title: Pitch Perfect
Genre: PG
This would have to be one of of the most awsome movies I have ever seen. It was funny, cheeky and abit of romance was in there too. Rebel wilson "Fat Amay" was the stand out from all the cast. With her cheecky and Hilarous comments and one of my most remembered quotes is "I can sing, but I'm also good at modern dance, olden dance, and, uh mermaid dancing.. It's alot of floor work"
The movie is about a girl named beca "anna Kenderwick" who dreams of becoming a DJ, but has her dreams pushed back as she has to attend colledge. Becas father wanted her to join a club of some sort and make friends. She decides to join a group called the barden bellas. A group of 7 girls dreaming to compete in the nationals whilst there arch rivals "the trouble makers" strive to win another gold at the nationals.
But will bellas crush on one of the trouble makers ruin her chances of making new friends. And will "the trouble makers" Win another gold and leave the bellas in dust?
The movie is a well written, we acted and well done and I would defantly recomend it to every one. This movie is a 100 times more better than glee. Goodbye glee hello Pitch Perfect!

MR: The Machinist (2004)
How can you wake up when you're not asleep?
Rating: 7/10
Good Movie!
Stars: Christian Bale, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Aitana Sánchez-Gijón
Director: Brad Anderson
Writer: Scott Kosar
Synopsis:
An industrial worker who hasn't slept in a year begins to doubt his own sanity.
IMDB link
The movie is as thrilling as a thriller must be. The story goes as industrial machinist Trevor Reznik (Bale) falls into a deep mystery as he chases Ivan, the one he blames for his misery. As he went on, people get into trouble because of him.
In my opinion, thrillers must not be thrilling because of the ugly faces, gore or just plain surprising moments. Thrillers should be more surprising the more you expect it. You see, the problem with thrillers is that you can start surprising people at the start of the film, then at the end of the film, it’s no longer exiting but rather expected.
In most of the films you can expect when the ghosts will come to torment the protagonists. You can also expect when the people will get killed. But here in The Machinist, you can be perfectly clueless of what will happen. Will there be a killing or will there be not? Will there be body parts exploding or will there be not?
In this movie, we have to laud Christian Bale. His efforts in acting came out and glorified him throughout the movie. I believe that his body was not computer-generated, he really did have to lose his weight and be as thin as this for the movie! What’s most curious is that a year later, he had to buff up for Batman Begins!
The greatest thing about this movie is that it would captivate your reasoning. Because there was (spoiler alert) a thrilling part at the first, you would expect another thrilling part as much as the first one! As a result, you can go mad over it. There will be bouts inside your head that includes ideas versus counter-ideas. This is the power that Director’s and Writers have – to play with your minds.
Overall, this movie is a good thriller. Though, of course, serious movies have the tendency to be dragging. I might say that not-so-movie fans will not like this. But I think it is great.
MR: Ip Man
When you loved Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Jet Li, you gotta love Ip Man more and more.
Rating: 8/10
(Must Watch!)
Stars: Donnie Yen, Simon Yam, Siu-Wong Fan
Director: Wilson Yip
Writer: Edmond Wong
Synopsis:
In 1935 in Foshan, south China, there are martial arts schools on every street corner. Ip Man is the undisputed martial arts champion, yet he has not devoted himself to teaching. Despite this, it seems that all the kung fu masters of the city are eager to fight him to improve their reputation.
From IMDB.com
The story is developed so good, that it will ignite your anger hormones and just be so angry with the antagonists, you would want to crush them yourselves. The enemies acted just so vile and spiteful, you may want to WingChun smash their being.
And I won’t be exaggerating when I tell you that I wanted to be the greatest martial artist after watching this film. I am not even lying that I wanted to be so good in this art that I would want to be a war hero of the Philippines and defend my beloved country as Ip Man did. Yes, this movie is that good.
Also, this is as thrilling as it can be. It will really make you so nervous and afraid of what may happen next, will his wife get raped? Will his kid be killed? Will he get killed?
This film, therefore, is a movie full of emotion. Full of emotion, that it will grab yours. It will drive you into a state of which you think you, yourself, is part of the movie and part of the history.
You know, the greatest thing about this movie is that it is based on a true story. Never thought that people like this would have existed. Man, I so love and respect early people, for they can be honorable as this.
This movie is a very different point of view in Chinese Martial Arts. It developed my respect. For this movie, I shall lay the red carpet and sound the trumpets and let it hoist the trophy for the greatest martial arts film.
