My mom (yep, still her, most of my stuff comes from her buying me things (in that store where everything is cheap, i talked about it in that post)) bought me the sweetest things for my apartment. I have soooo much stuff to bring there now, though. But a cactus shaped jar!!! and a message board!!! it’s so cute!!!
I’ve had a flatmate for 2 years and she moved in with her boyfriend in May so my cousin is moving in with me and we had to replace everything my (ex)flatmate owned, hence, a lot of stuff to move. But it’s all coming together and my apartment will look great in no time!
I can’t wait to go back there! I haven’t been there for 2 months, plus being there means seeing my friends again and I. just. can’t. wait. They’re the best thing that ever happened to me, and I miss them so much. I see them in less than a week, though! I swear, you should probably unfollow me right now, because this is all I’m going to be talking about for the next few weeks.
Anyway, here’s to having absolutely amazing friends ! and the cutest home decoration ever !

Moving back fucking blows
I mean, I hate to burst your expat bubble, but unless you’re moving back for grad school or have a job lined up, the adjustment and assimilation to America is a fucking beast.
I worked in my industry for 5 years in Korea, but this experience is being treated as though I was just there partying and spinning my wheels. Sure, I partied, but I also worked my ass off.
There are no resources for repatriation, and most employment agencies won’t know what the fuck to do with you.
It’s a fucking grind.
It will take a long time for you to find your feet and find your purpose here.
It is soul crushing and makes you want to run back to that expat life.
But if living in your home country is important to you, you must persist and be relentless in your attempt to find a life which is as fulfilling as your expat life.
There are no “good ole days,” there is only forward progress.

Today was neighbours’ day in my neighborhood! My parents have been living in this neighborhood for almost 14 years, and there were a lot of people we never met before. We all had lunch together and it was really fun! We knew some people and I saw someone I used to go to school with, so we could catch up, it was nice.
I spent most of my time with the children (like I always do, children are easier to talk to than adults, in my opinion) and I think their parents will remember me when they need a babysitter. One of the girls literally adopted me, she wouldn’t even let me go when her parents wanted to go home.
Anyway, I leave in four (4) days and my stuff is nowhere near ready. My suitcase is still overflowing with not folded clothes, I have at least 3 non full bags that need to be sorted into one bag and I need to go grocery shopping. And remember the day I completely tidied up my desk? Well, it’s all messy again, So I have to do that again. Which means more stuff that’s going into my suitcase and bags and boxes. N I C E.

i had to move back in with my parents because of my mental health (and then money). AND LET ME TELL YOU, IT IS SHIT.
Like… we just set this up in January
