Old History | Jennie & Zeus

Ever since Zeus had discovered the library in this city, he daily went there to read up on world history. During the many years after Olympus the god hadn’t paid much attention to what all the gods of the many different pantheons were up to, or to who they even were. But now that he was living with them in Mount Phoenix, he felt it was high time to change that. It was always smart to know who was living in the same city as you. Especially when they could be a possible threat towards you. It would be even better to discover that a certain someone who owed him for a certain something he did many years ago lived in this city as well. So Zeus dutifully went to read through some books and look at some artifacts each and every day. Slowly but surely learning about the different gods and their past.

Enjoying the power of wisdom he felt each and every time he strode into the building, he thoroughly appreciated all the work the sun goddess had put into this wonderful collection. He had always loved knowledge and people who strived to get it were people he liked to have deep conversations with. Those conversations could go about all kinds of topics, really. It had been a long time since Zeus had been able to converse with a philosopher. And oh, what did he miss those times in ancient Greece when he could talk for hours and hours with philosophers about the world. He had learned many a thing from the way mortal philosophers thought and he had done the same in return for them.

Heading down the entrance hall he was on his way to the ‘Japanese god section’ of the library when he caught sight of a young and beautiful female. Instantly recognizing her from the apartment building he lived in he had never introduced himself to her before. Deciding to change that today, the god made a swift turn to the right so he could head over to her. “Hello, I’m Zeus,” he greeted her with a friendly smile. “I’m sorry for disturbing but I saw you a couple of times at my apartment building and I wanted to introduce myself.” Taking her fully in with his gaze he wondered how (and if) this beautiful demi-god would be related to him.

Someone had entered his forest. He could feel it.

He probably should stop referring to it as his forest. It was his domain, sure, but it wasn’t under his ownership. That said, he could feel every footstep that crossed into his domain like a heartbeat. Step. Step. Step. And these belonged to someone small, someone he didn’t know but he could tell they were a child of Athena. A Greek demigod.

It took the eyes of a fox to find her, but she didn’t seem to be up to no good. Or at least she hadn’t until he spotted what looked like a crossbow. At the sight, the fox bolted and Pan broke the connection. He didn’t want the fox to get hurt any more than it did. But it was time to find out what this girl was doing with a crossbow in his forest. Because if she wanted to hunt here she had another thing coming.

Hunting in his domain without permission. How rude!

Pan descended from his wildflower throne and put a pleasant smile on his face before going to approach the girl. He wasn’t much for fighting; his domain was wild places, not wild natures. If he had learned anything from his extended family it was that diplomacy was the best course of action if he didn’t want to get in a fight.

“What are you doing here with that,” Pan asked as he came out from behind a tree several meters behind the girl, not meaning to scare her.

'Just means there’s way more cake for me.’

Jisoo gave Jennie the worst look she could muster, it wasn’t her fault that she had decided to go on a diet, after all the doctor had told her that she had to slim down. Constantly eating sweets and fast food had taken its toll on her body, forcing her to remove all those things from her diet. Jennie knew this, yet she had still knowingly brought cake from the bakery just to rub it in her face. Although she loved Jennie with all her heart sometimes she made Jisoo want to tear her hair out and scream into a pillow for an hour. The girl really had no tact! Smirking to herself, Jisoo tackled Jennie, starting to grind her knuckles against the girls head. “Ahahaha Jennie-ya this is my revenge!” Jisoo cackled out, forcing the other to the ground.

Gamer Girls

The bright afternoon sun drifted through Jisoo’s apartment window, waking her from the cat nap she had been taking in the middle of playing the newest Zelda game. Yawning she stretched her arms above her head, checking the clock for the time. Shit it’s already 12 PM and Jennie’s coming over at 1 I need to get ready ASAP. Scrambling off the couch, Jisoo quickly changed out of her t-shirt and boxers, into leggings and another t-shirt (one she hadn’t slept in). Although Jennie was one of her best friends and one of the people she was most comfortable with, Jisoo still wanted to look slightly presentable, as Jennie looked perpetually amazing 24/7. Grabbing some bowls off the kitchen shelf, Jisoo began to fill them with popcorn, chips, and other snacks. After all it was their monthly video game marathon and it required not just mental strength, but physical stamina as well, in order to beat Jennie as much as possible.

After making sure everything was prepared, Jisoo slumped down on the couch and began to work on her newest graphic design for class. It had been stumping her for ages, but she was pretty sure she was at a breakthrough, when the doorbell chimed. Leaping up from her seat, Jisoo practically sprinted towards the door, after all she had been so busy with work lately that she had barely seen her best friend, since what seemed like weeks ago. Although it had only been a couple days. Throwing open the door with gusto, Jisoo squealed, “Ya Jennie, I thought you’d never come! I missed you so much. I can’t wait to beat you in Mario Kart, so let’s play already! Everything’s set up.” She then threw her arms around Jennie, in a huge bear hug.
