she’s starving. starving. and if four to five months of needlessly travelling the whole world looking for her father doesn’t warrant a trip to a fastfood place she doesn’t know what does. she doesn’t find any of the usual brands around mount phoenix - what is it with this place? - but she eventually does at least find a place that sells simple fries and burgers like she has been craving the entire time since arriving on the island. it’s like a godsend - she realises the irony of these words considering the place she’s in - and so she walks in with high spirits.
“good afternoon,” she calls as she walks up to the counter, no hesitation about just speaking up like that despite nobody being behind the counter. “i hope you speak english because i really need me two servings of fries and cheeseburgers and if you have some sweet chili sauce that’d be de-” her entire explanation is cut short when the person who’s probably going to take her order suddenly comes into view and the familiarity of those features pause her for a whole second.
and then the explosion happens. “OH MY GOD LISA!!!!!!!” what happens next is probably best described as a tiny ball of energy launching herself at the counter. the fact that she’s wearing a skirt and heels is absolutely disregarded as she quite literally leaps onto the counter so she can jump off on the other side and throw herself at her best friend, arms wrapping around the other girl with great conviction and zero shame.
