hey, quick question! wasn't there talk (quite a while back, i think) about a queer hp roleplay blog/forum? i'm a bit behind, but did anything ever come of that?

Sadly MQRP did not come into fruition, as us mods are all pretty busy with real life things, and do not have the time to flesh out a roleplaying forum and moderate that as well.

Possibly in the distant future this will become a reality, however for now it's on the back burner. There are many hp roleplaying blogs out there though, and several of them are queer-oriented, so I suggest doing some snooping about to find one that's suitable for you. 

Due to the fact that none of the mods are involved in any roleplaying blogs/forums and we are unable to keep an eye on them, we cannot recommend any, and advise that you make sure the play is suitable for you before joining up. MQ is a safe space for everyone, and while we would love to rec things like this we simply do not have the control necessary to ensure that those spaces are in line with the MQ "positives only" ideal.

Will queer muggle characters be allowed on MQRP? Because I really want cute wizards using magic to help their queer muggle friends but it seems it's something that no one does. *rolls around on the ground*

Hey there, so this message is a bit old, but now is a good time to tell everyone a bit more about MQRP.

So far, we haven't been able to open MQRP because we just don't have the time to dedicate to opening another branch of MagicQueers and mod it as well. Roleplaying sites take up a lot of time and commitment, and while we are all committed to MagicQueers we simply do not have the time to branch it out right now. MQRP is still on our minds for the future, but at the moment (as I'm sure everyone has guessed) it is on the back burner. We're sorry that we're unable to open it currently, and I cannot give an estimate as to when it might be up and running. You're all still free to use the tumblr tag #mqrp to find roleplaying partners, however you'll have to acquire your own means of posting to each other, and that tag will NOT be moderated. Please use your best discretion in finding roleplaying partners.

As for your specific question, I have no answer. Once things settle and we are able to devote the time and commitment necessary to running an MQRP site, we will discuss things like this.

you mentioned some sort of beta testing period for mqrp- how exactly will that work? who will be allowed to role-play?

thats all still pretty under construction bc school is taking precedent rn but we'll be sure to make a post once we've got all the details figured out!

hey did that rp forum ever get started? i checked the tag but it looks like it's pretty quiet in there so i was wondering?

it's not yet, the site is all set up but the mods (me especially) are having a hell of a workload this semester so we don't want to take on something that big until we are all confident that we can (a) take care of our own stuff and (b) have the time to give you all the attentive modding you deserve

we'll make posts about it when it gets started though! thanks for keeping us thinking about it

Will there be a limit of people who are allowed to join MQRP? Also, will there be a beta of any sort or will it just be released as a final product?

we haven't discussed any limits that i'm aware of, and there will be a beta testing period!

Do you guys have any idea when mqrp will be a thing? Like, how many weeks/days it will be or roughly what date?

we don't really have a time frame right now

we're very excited to create mqrp for yall, but we're also cool kids enjoying family on winter break & doing school work & other life stuff, so mqrp takes back burner to our real life obligations

So excited omfg. I'm going to revamp my old HP OC and make her explicitely autistic this time (she was already autistic tbh but I hadn't done it on purpose since I didn't know anything about it haha it just came from my own experiences) Also probs agender. Or genderfluid. Aaaaah.
