Julian: “I still keep some of the stories I wrote when I was about six, which are frighteningly similar to a lot of the Boosh storylines. There’s one I read recently, in which I go to a weird land called “Pach” and it was a strange fabric land, and then I came back somehow and woke up, and it was all a dream but I had a patch on my trousers.”

I took the kidlets to IKEA today as a treat after a morning in the wheelchair clinic and they demanded to go straight to the mirror section and then zoomed around yelling "Welcome to the Mirror World! There are over 17 mirrors in the Mirror World!"

Such a proud parent moment.

Julian: “In the first series we had a character called Mr. Susan, and we had this idea that he'd go “look at them shine!” about his mirror balls. Over and over again in the same intonation. We just thought it was funny. And we had a meeting about the series, we got this guy, saying: “Does he need to do it that many times? 'Cause it doesn't work; there's no logic to it.” You just have to go, “no, that's what we're doing”.
