Patrick could see the gears turning inside Mike’s head – not at all unexpected – so the personal trainer merely responded with a quick shrug as his lips curled into one of his trademark smiles. “It’s a party and I’m not workin’. Are ye’ professional every second of every day? Don’ ye’ ever clock off?” Just because he was Mike’s personal trainer didn’t mean he wasn’t someone else. His job didn’t define who he was. “Why ye’? Ye’ look too serious and this is supposed to be a party. Maybe I just wanted to make ye’ smile?” With another shrug, Patrick turned his cheek to Mike and pointed at it as he gave the other man a quick wink. Even he knew not to press for more than what others were willing to give. Start small and go from there. “I was hopin’ for a cheek kiss. It’s innocent and hopefully won’ make ye’ feel uncomfortable. But I leave the where to ye’. I’ll be happy with a tiny cheek kiss. Promise.”
