@guto_vighi @acevagner_ @betorichieri23 Reposted from @kauerguitars We’re back and I wanted to send a thank you to @13thstreetguitars for doing the heavy lifting on repairing @mrfuzzlord ‘s first Banshee “Goldie”. This is banshee #30 which makes it an extremely early guitar in our history (433 banshees ago to be precise) and it has some quirks. The biggest was the abnormally thin neck carve. It’s always been a bit difficult to keep it set up and eventually it started to show a couple stress cracks behind the trussrod. For us, it’s easier to build new then repair sometimes and we aren’t setup to steam a fretboard off. What I really thought this guitar needed was to fix the crack, update to our better current truss rod and add carbon reinforcements to help stabilize the neck. Hugh did an amazing job getting the fretboard off, then using his plek to rout and add two carbon fiber splines (then resurface it) and get the fretboard back on, reradiused and fretted/plek’d. So grateful and excited to see this one back up and running properly now. Lots of people talk to us about “oh you just need XXX or YYY to play your guitars and you’ll be made” but what artist Guitars really do for us is exactly this. They road test them, they take them to climates we wouldn’t. They let us see what we need to improve constantly to make sure that the next one is even better. Every banshee has had lots of little tweaks and improvements that owe a bit of thanks to Goldie here. Also @getplekd here’s a bunch of new tricks on the plek for ya ;) #thekaueroflove #kauer #kauerguitars #mrfuzzlord #rivalsons https://www.instagram.com/p/CPlSpCnMzKt/?utm_medium=tumblr
