"Dad!" Charlie fully pushed the door open--Her eyes were dry, she'd double, no, triple checked. He was still standing where his little partnered dance ended. Only for a second did her gaze linger on his hands.

He really did miss her. Much more than she originally gave him credit for...

"I brought you something to eat, Vaggi said you haven't been able to leave your room in awhile," she set the tray she was holding on his nightstand, then walked over to him, gently taking his hands in her own.

'I hope he's doing alright...'

She nuzzled his fingers with her cheek. An idea crossed her mind, but she wasn't sure if it'd be insensitive right now.

"Hey, dad...? Can I have this dance?" Even though the song he'd been listening to had faded to silence. Even though there was nothing but them. "It's been awhile, I think. I'm taller than last time, too. I don't have to stand on your feet anymore," her thumbs gently rubbed over his fingers.

Sliding a hand around his drink, left the company of his prospective evening and stepped in front of the woman, “You glared?”

Michael looks at her and then shakes his head “You always have liked to get things for free, I might have guessed that you would be into Halloween for the free sweets.” He cocks an eyebrow and then gets a thoughtful look on his face “I’m in it more for the costumes. M (human :: for female, M would her bush however MC likes it... and again for male, bush would be how MC likes it and the dick size would be 5 and a half inches...

Now for Merfolk M... (I had to draw it... Idk how to explain it for merfolks) but for Male Merfolk M, his size would be 9 inches in this form. (explained below)

(also this goes for Merfolk MC's as well and when I mean males : amab in general and females : afab in general)

L : for female, she would have like beauty marks in between her thighs and for her bush, it would be like stubble and for male, again beauty marks in between his thighs and his bush would be a bit more hairy but still stubble and his size would be 6 inches.

EL : for female, her bush would be hairy but not too hairy and she would have a birthmark above her slit and for male, hairy but not too hairy and a birthmark above his dick and his size would be 6 and a half inches.

E : for that picture again once above which his size (in merfolk form) would be 8 inches but in human form, his size would be 5 inches and E would have lots of beauty marks around their area (female/male) and their bushes would be barely there.

Now to explain the merfolk sexes....

For AMAB, typically the average size is 12 inches (yes a foot), so that means E and M (merfolk) are below average but it stops at 15 inches. That's a foot long sandwhich. (I think its like 1 foot and 3 inches but Idk wanna look up dick sizes no more)

But when in sex, the partner adapts to it (if they are a merfolk) and it doesn't hurt (unless you're a human having sex with a merfolk who has a foot long sandwich then yes)

Now for AFAB, it only opens in mating and stays close until so, the anus is also below the slit (AFAB/AMAB).

And the information might be wrong but yeah, I did try to make it make sense...

Hard to do so when it's about a fantasy species but that's really it.

do you think that you could an if based off native American .... I finally met another native American (well half but still countssss)

Yeah, half native! but I was thinking about writing about it like something about Wendigos because back in grade 8, I was forced to write a three page Wendigo story....

But I love until dawn, the design of the Wendigo like oh, that's creative! I remember watching The Ritual and thinking that the monster was a Wendigo but it turns out that it was another mythological creature "Jötunn" or something like that but amazing movie and design!!

Is MC pre-determined personality?

and what inspired you to do this?

MC is pre-determind personality a bit. (merfolk) MC in the prologue will act a bit like Ariel from Little mermaid and (human) MC will act a bit like Eric. Which means (merfolk) M will act like Ariel and (human) M will act like Eric.

I got inspired by the Little Mermaid by Disney and Hans Christian Andersen... Which is really it, I wanted to do the war theme because it just clicked in my mind for the idea!

Could you tell us about your main game focus because you said that beneath still waters was your second focus

My main focus is about like gothic themes and its about uhhh, Victorian eras and it touches themes of Elitism and how the different social classes were (you can play as a servant or a heir) and the main thing about is that, everything starts off as fine then it turns like a crime or thriller story.

(That interactive fiction will have many of characters and yeah!)

Are there any other IFs that youre interested in writing? I know you saod this was your second focus

I am interested in writing like a movie star, music star, cult, cowboys and a gothic if.

I do have some other ideas but these are the main ones! But I always did want to write a merfolk one and a war one so I added those two ideas together!

My main focus is a secret because I have like two ifs (they both have 5k words) that I have planned out and just going to choose after this prologue (beneath still waters) is done!
