The Carrie remake was great. The plot is pretty much identical to the first, but it focusses more on the bullying aspect of the book rather than the horror aspect of the original. It's definitely worth checking out, and Chloe Grace Moretz is amazing in the roll.

Ooh thank you!!! I will have to watch it now. I very much enjoyed the book and I'm glad that they focus on the bullying in the film, as IIRC the inspiration for the Carrie White character came from a couple of girls Stephen King knew in real life who were bullying victims.

I am a HUGE idiot for the Nicki Minaj post, I was such a moron, but I swear I'm different now, I'm really sorry.

I’m not angry at what you said though?

Like I understand what she’s saying, that she wants to be independent, but the way in which she said it is not okay and while I don’t hate her, but “they want to be nourished and pet like a dog” is NOT an okay thing to say about ANY group of people.

Also if what she said about misandry not being real is true then she’s a huge idiot because any group of people is capable of thinking they are better/putting down another - which is what I think is a huge issue with this site because they don’t GET that. They just think “oh, they’re white, people can’t be racist towards them” or “oh, they’re a man, people can’t be sexist towards them” and that is a REALLY dangerous road to be going down for reasons that I hope are obvious.

What I’m irritated about is what the people that reblogged it said - basically saying that what men could be feeling in response to what she said is unfounded and doesn’t really matter. Do you see why I have a problem with that?
