Fic Review of 2020

Oooh Boy. This is going to be interesting for sure.
1. Feels Like Beautiful Madness - One of the last SPN fics I wrote which I actually enjoyed writing and really liked the end result. It feels a little bittersweet now, to be honest, because I don’t think I’ll be back in the SPN fandom.
2. Sniper’s Patience - first fic I posted in the Old Guard fandom, and whoa, what a response! This one practically wrote itself after I read the prompt, and I was so nervous posting it because new fandom and all, and there were already such amazing authors churning out such awesome works. And then I got art gifted for that fic and got invited to the All and More discord and met so many great people, so. Yeah. Love this baby.
3. Never Yours (Always His) - more Old Guard, and this one made me work for it. Another kinkmeme prompt fill, one that grabbed my attention and didn’t let me go. It asked a lot of questions I had to answer, but I really really love how it turned out. Competent Nicky, kicking ass and taking names? Hell yeah!
4. The Trick About Handcuffs - Old Guard again (I detect a theme), co-written in half an hour with the lovely @hyper-fixate on discord, then polished and presented to the public, this one spawned two different series - go check out both! - and it was such fun to write. I’m also still happily taking the blame for getting hyper to write smut ^^
5. And See How Bright We Shine - The Weird Aladdin AU Fusion Monster That Needs A Title as it was affectionately known during the writing process. Last but certainly not least, my baby, the fic I started writing in September and that ate three months. It was a challenge, one of the first fics I actually put through multiple edits. I think it came out better for it, and I love love love it. It’s my baby of the year, I poured so much into it and I’m so happy it’s getting such great comments.
So, yes. 2020. What a year, not only out there, but in fandom as well. I look back on how much I’ve changed as a writer, how much has changed for me, and I feel a little melancholy. But I met so many awesome people who encourage me and squeal with me, so it’s not all bad, discovering a new fandom and leaving an old love behind.
