Ruby Skyflare is the current queen of Fire Haven. She’s fine as a ruler- she is responsible, and never downright cruel to her subjects, but not liked by everyone due to her arrogance, unlike King Osprey who came before her.

She is the mother to two princesses, Scorch and Diamond. It is clear that Scorch is her favourite daughter- as the older of the two, she will be the one to inherit the throne, and, on top of that, is the first Epic born to the family in centuries- only increasing the amount of pressure put on her to be perfect.

Diamond is the younger daughter who is jealous and angry, wishing she was next in line instead. She’s still a bit too young to fully understand why she was born- her mother only wants her to continue the bloodline, as Epics cannot have children.
