Sandrock Tarot Collab: Death (13)

I did two cards for the OTAS tarot collab + the frames for every card! :>

Some insight to the design (spoilers below)...

Even though death is grim, the death card's main meaning is rebirth. Significant changes, fresh starts, letting go of the past. This point in MTAS's story, when the mama tree finally blossoms, and when Mort accepts the passing of Martle was absolutely perfect for this card. (Plus, the Pathea writers originally wanted Mort to actually die in this scene asldkfajsldkrjkjrj) Sandrock might've has its scars and its fair share of death in the past...but now comes a new bloom, and the opportunity to get better and better.

If I had a nickel for every time an elderly man named Mort had a wife who disappeared without a trace and also graves next to his house, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
