First Playtest Results
Decks drafted: - 2 Dimir, similar playstyle of creature light spell kill with secondary recursion - Mono green stompy making good use of the green combat triggers - Azorius flyers - Boros midrange, didn't appear to have defender theme Notes: Drafting 20 packs instead of 16 is much more friendly to drafting since it's easier to abandon and over drafted color, but the number of packs makes it easy to think things are open when they really aren't. Only 2 of each uncommon is definitely the way to go. A lot of the uncommon are very powerful in the right archetype and can make things pretty ridiculous. I had double Favorable Winds, double Intangible Virtue and it was ridiculous with triple Rousing of Souls. Three of each common felt about right currently. With a 6th person we'd go back down to 3 packs per person. I might consider adding a common to each color to increase the variance. I like some of the rares, but some of the reprints are just bad. Both Misdirection and Stifle need to be replaced. I'm not a huge fan of Raya Dawnbringer.
