MTPB Extortionists
I salute these people working hard for the new traffic scheme in Manila. Time traveled was lessened on my account. Partida, ako'y taga-South of Manila pa. I don't know if it's the same for others. But a certain incident made me want to vomit blood to what I just wrote.
I rode a van from Park n' Ride in Lawton on my way home to Dasmarinas, Cavite. I sat at the front. Things get worse as the driver decided to take a U-turn at Sta. Cruz.
During that time four MTPB personnels were stationed at the crossing at Bonifacio Shrine in my peripheral view. We have two main characters here, Mr. Tall and Manong Galit. Manong Galit waved for us to stop. (Akala niya hindi ko siya nakita.) The driver followed him then Manong Galit walked away for a few seconds. Here comes Mr. Tall at the scene. He signaled the GO sign and the driver started to press on the gas accelerator.
Not more than five seconds, Manong Galit came back and got in front of the car. He uttered, "Nasaan na ang lisensiya mo? Akin na." I was surprised. Did he violate any rules?
"Bakit niyo po ako bibigyan ng ticket sir? Wala naman po akong violation ah?", the driver quickly replied.
Manong Galit kept on asking for his license and said "BASTA akin na ang lisensya mo!"
The driver still insisted his side of the story, "Pina-GO ako ni Kuya. Yung matangkad, kaya umusad ako."
Almost all the passengers of the van were now bothered by the sudden exchange between the two and one passenger added, "Oo, nakita ko yung matangkad, pina-Go nga siya."
"IBIGAY MO NA KASI!"
This is where my heart started to beat so fast. Kailangang sumigaw koya? A fellow car decided to overtake the van since this conversation was adding to the traffic. Napasigaw nga si kapwa driver ng "Ibigay mo na kasi. Traffic na dito sa likod oh."
Halfheartedly, the driver surrendered his Driver's License. Manong Galit lead us to Mehan Garden for certain proceedings like ticketing, etc. The driver went out of the van angrily to talk to Manong Galit. Nag-ipit na rin siya ng 100Php sa bulsa niya para sa lagayang magaganap kung sakali. He came back after not less than 20 seconds.
"Ayun si Manong, gutom lang pala. Nanghihingi lang ng pang-meryenda."
Kotong dito. Kotong doon. I hate those people who are only using their power to scare the shit out of others. Wala namang violation tapos kukunin ang lisensiya at kokotongan? Anlalaki na ng mga tiyan niyo sa araw-araw niyong pagkuha/pagnakaw ng yaman. They are famed for the term EXTORTIONISTS. What is wrong in this country?
