I'm not sure if this has ever been alluded to, but I was wondering where your OCs are in terms of their attitude towards vomiting, like on a scale from emetophobe to completely unfazed. Do they dread puking or do they not mind? Do they even pull the trigger? I know that to us readers, it seems like they vomit all the time, but that's because we mostly focus on the sick parts of their lives. But how strong are their stomachs, actually? Who is quite resilient to it and who is an easy puker? How often do they really vomit (or approx. how many times have they done so in their lives)?

It's quite amusing to think all we see are the sick moments and they have whole lives that are happening off screen lol.

Okay, I'll break down the questions!

On a scale from emetophobe to completely unfazed?

I don't like reading or writing emetophobia, so none of my characters have that. But if I had to line them on a scale from least unbothered to most, it would go: Wendy, Jonah, Marilyn, Vince*, Chris, Lucas, Bella, Max!

A couple observations. Because of her ED, vomitting can be triggering to Wendy, so she avoids it as much as possible. I added the two new OCs! Marilyn kinda turns into a trembling mess and Chris is super stubborn. Puking sucks to Vince, so he's not unbothered by it, because it takes such a toil on his body, but now he has a bit of a kink so.... A mystery. To Max, puking is the same as burping in public: he wants to avoid it but if it happens it happens, shrug.

Who is quite resilient to it and who is an easy puker?

Leo, Max, Marilyn and now Luke are easy pukers. Lucas used to have an iron stomach, but he's developed reflux with age and now its way more common. Jonah, Bella, Vince, Wendy and Chris are the ones who rarely puke, either because they do their max to avoid it (Jon, Vin, Wen) or because it just doesnt come naturally (Bell, Chris)

How often do they really vomit?

In order:

Bella - Once in a blue moon, very very rare thing. The type that can count in one hand.

Chris - Normally, he only pukes if he catches the flu or food poisoning. He's never thrown up from overeating/motion sickness/indigestion. A once a year thing.

Jonah - unless he has a vertigo crisis, Jon does not puke. He's not the type to overeat, he's careful about germs and he's particular about his food. Vertigo aside, I'd say once or twice a year.

Wendy - She's got a bit of a more sensitive stomach than the prev 3, but Wendy is extremely stubborn. I'd say once a year, if it wasn't for the fact she gets migraines and then they make her super nauseous. Given migraines are stress triggered, its become a more of a every 3 months thing.

Luke - Lucas used to be the type to just get sick once a year, now it's more of a once every two months occurrence, either because of indigestion/reflux, migraines or because he's got the flu, he doesn't know why he became a bit of a magnet (hehehe the author loves you, boo)

Vince - Vin doesn't normally get sick, and he's got quite the stomach capacity, except since he's now lactose intolerant, he's got waaaay less of an iron gut. It's a once every two months thing.

Leo - Leo's stomach is actually more or less strong, but his issue is that he's a germ magnet. If there's any bug going around he WILL catch it. Once a month, either from overeating, eating something wrong, or just catching the monthly's bug.

Marilyn - She doesn't puke as often as she gets queasy. She just has a nervous stomach and a sensitive one too, she can't handle greasy/heavy things and it will make her nauseous af. Once every two weeks she ends up just loosing lunch.

Max - This man is FUCKED. Max pukes weekly and if he's having a particularly bad stomach week, then it's more of a 4 out 7 days. To his benefit its very much a "one and done" thing, so he isn't underweight or anything, but its super fucking annoying. He won't hesitate to pull the trigger just to speed things up.

** forgot Sophia and Angie: Angie gets carsick and has a delicate stomach, she'll get nauseous over nothing. She's not unbothered, but she's not scared of it, just hella shy.

Sophia has a strong stomach, but she gets migraines that kick her ass and fevers also fuck her up big time. She's the closest to being an emetophobe out of all my OCs, puking makes her cry.
