Knowing that Jessie Mueller had her last shift at the diner today has me a lot more emotional than I thought I would be. So incredibly happy I was able to see that Mueller Magic last summer!
So I have bootlegs of all the Jenna’s (so far) and yesterday I rewatched one of my favorites of Jessie Mueller’s performance. I then realized that she’s still my favorite Jenna to date. I love Sara to the moon and back and I like Betsy, too, but there’s just something so special in the way Jessie portrayed Jenna Hunterson.
WHEN IS JESSIE MUELLER GOING TO HAVE A SOLO CONCERT OR AN ALBUM??? I MEAN, I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WAITING FOR THIS, RIGHT? The world needs to hear more from this unicorn. Come on!
Sara Bareilles, Jessie Mueller and Drew Gehling should receive an EGOT, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Olivier, and all the other awards for Bad Idea and Bad Idea Reprise. How Jessie can keep a straight face all throughout the reprise still astounds me to this day.
