Oh dear God it was the queen and she was talking to him. Took Alastor a moment to realize he should probably ALSO be bowing, snapping down into a quick one for her.

There was a pause before the Master spoke up, he was thankful that his son was not there to hear him speak about this, not because she did hurt him, no, but because he feared that speaking of the boy’s mother would bring back sad memories.

“No…she never did, sure we got into disagreements like all couples do but it never got violent…not to the end and that was my own fault.” It was his anger, his unstable mana build up, in the end it was his fault. She never did anything wrong.

Upon reflection Ruby was a good person. “Is there anything else you need of me?”

            “Crying…?? For who do you take me for?” She spoke with authority in her voice as she could feel how blood was boiling under her skin. If there was one thing that Carmilla would absolutely never allow herself, it would be to show her weaknesses, and even less to a stranger whom she barely did know. Crying was something she hasn’t done in such a long period of time, that she forgot even how it felt like to release all of those bottled up emotions off from herself.

Clenching her hands tightly around the chains that were holding the iron maiden, Carmilla began walking away, only before speaking her last couple of  words;

“I shall not break, not now not ever. My duty does not consist of searching spiritual relief through the releasing of unnecessary emotions and memories, but to accomplish my Master’s orders.”
