thank you to the previous owner of my loom for this pretty blue you left in the box of accessories and i am very glad i didn't strip the bobbins because this next project i will be using the blue. i am trying an undulating twill and hopefully i will make it look like the sea with ripples.
only issue now is that i have to hope this is enough blue because i don't know what it is to buy more

this month i made only one thing (i have been spinning a lot but nothing i can use for the bingo chart), yet another twill block scarf. i really focused on trying to get the blocks as square as possible and i think i have improved my beating on my multi-shaft. i find it a lot tougher than my rigid heddle but with practice i know i will improve.

my friend visited me from america over the end of april and beginning of may and spun and wove a fantastic chunky scarf under my tutoring. he found spinning difficult overall but really enjoyed lock spinning and took to weaving like a duck to water. his scarf is so cosy and beautiful, im jealous
my scarf won me an award at my guild on saturday and i still don't have the words to describe how i feel
i have a really lovely trophy for the rest of the year now though
and my first ever multi shaft loom project is done. i am so happy with it.
thank you to everyone's lovely comments on my post with a video of it still on the loom, that made me feel very warm inside.
i still need to improve on my beating so my checkered parts are square but i am otherwise at awe that i managed to weave this first time
i had a magical weekend finally learning how to use my multi shaft loom in oxfordshire. I am still learning how to beat consistently and make a neat selvedge but it feels magical.
i hope i can remember how to warp up and start making my dream pieces of fabric ♡
